Punctuating the sweeping Murrumbateman landscape is Shaw Estate, a chic cellar door, tasting room, restaurant and event space from Doma Group.

In the restaurant, the Italian-leaning menu is designed to complement the vineyard’s cool-climate wines and highlights local, seasonal produce. Try rotating pastas, woodfired dishes and shareable antipasti like zucchini flowers with pumpkin cream, or grilled octopus.

At the cellar door, opt for a guided tasting of four to six Shaw Estate wines, from tempranillo to sparkling cuvee.

The airy, light-filled venue is a popular wedding destination, with packages that cover every detail. Accommodation can also be arranged at one of the nearby Realm Precinct hotels.
