In Barton’s Realm Precinct you’ll find Louis, a Doma Group venue that offers laid-back service and a menu inspired by classic French bistros.
While its dim lighting and slick interiors may emulate a fine diner, Louis caters to all – from families and groups to solo diners seeking a quick bite. Start with snacky plates such as the Burgundy snail, or zucchini flower with goat’s curd, pistachio and lemon gastrique. Then move on to the heartier mains like the pork sausage pasta with cavolo nero, spatchcock grilled with chicken skin butter, or (of course) steak frites. Louis offers a few options when it comes to steak; choose between Black Angus, Scotch fillet or Wagyu T-bone, all served with crisp frites and your choice of jus, pepper or bearnaise sauce.
Ask the team for wine pairing recommendations. Like many French bistros, the drinks list is designed to complement the food. And don’t pass up the rich chocolate mousse with Chantilly cream for dessert.
