Features
For lengthy wine lists and posh service, Hastings Street has you covered. But if it’s beers and a laid-back vibe, look no further than Noosa Junction’s Village Bicycle, a neon highlight in the area’s buzzy nightlife scene that’s been in the business of burgers, booze and good times since 2016.
If not for the strong showing of Aussie craft beer on tap, the American dive-bar energy would be in full effect, with graffiti scrawls, heavily stickered surfaces, and easy-going bartenders who look like they might do a tequila shot with you – if only they weren’t so busy shaking Margaritas. A leafy covered section out front is built for people-watching, and there's a festoon-lit backyard made for astroturf sessions.
The menu sticks to Americana territory, and it’s a good idea to order big if you’re in for the hog for the long haul. Buffalo wings, tater tots, tacos and nachos doused in liquid cheese are all present, but the burgers here are a thing of beauty. Go for the Voodoo Burger – a whopper sandwiching a Wagyu patty, bacon, double cheddar, chipotle mayo and zuni pickles – and you’ll be riding all night.
